Hi everyone, my name’s Jelly but my friends call me Jelly-bean! My past is a bit of a mystery as I was found as a stray with complex health issues. My back legs were so weak that I wobbled from head to toe, and I’d gone so long without food that I could hardly eat more than a few bites at a time. I’ve had lots of testing and my friends at Rain are working hard to build my strength back – now I’m feeling stronger and ready to start looking for my new family who are ready to embrace me and my quirky personality!
I’ve made lots of friends here at Rain and just about everyone has a soft spot for me. I have the sweetest personality and have everyone laughing with my strange antics. I love to zoom around in the field, enjoy a nice head scratch or fall asleep with my favourite rat teddy in my mouth.
I’m looking for a special home able to manage my medical needs. As well as building my strength back, I also have slightly impaired vision – although this doesn’t seem to affect my quality of life I’ll need an understanding household and a little extra support settling in. I’m not particularly house-proud and hopefully my new family won’t be either – like most huskies I will quickly cover your house in white fluff if I’m not groomed regularly!
I may be time-consuming as I continue to build up my strength – I currently need several short outings a day and sometimes need my carers to fork-feed me! Although I like other dogs, my style of play is typical of my breed and could get me into conflict with dogs that aren’t ready to play, so I would be best as an only pet.
I really am the sweetest boy and will bring so much happiness to the right home. To learn more about me and my medical needs, click ‘Ask About Jelly’ to fill in an enquiry form!
