“Hi, I’m Lucy! I’m a lovely little lady who enjoys all the finer things in life — cosy beds, home comforts, and being the centre of attention. If you’re looking for a best friend who will happily curl up beside you and soak up all the love, I could be your girl!
I’m a huge foodie (seriously, snacks are the way to my heart), so treats make training with me nice and easy. Whether it’s learning new things or just convincing me you’re my new favourite person, a tasty reward goes a long way! I do absolutely love toys as well, give me a soft teddy and I will carry it around with me.
I can sometimes be a little nervous at first when people want to cuddle or stroke me, especially in the kennel environment, but once I realise everything is okay, I absolutely adore affection and will happily snuggle up for cuddles.
I would need to be the only pet in the home as I’m not a fan of other dogs, and the carers at the rescue are still getting to know me, so they are unsure how I would be around cats at the moment so probably a home without them. Because of this, and as I can be a little nervous at times, a home with teenagers and above would probably suit me best.
The carers are still learning more about my personality every day and will update my profile as they get to know me better. One thing they do know already, though, is that I will make someone a truly lovely companion.
