Hi, I’m Bambi! 🐾
I’m Bambi, a 2-year, 10-month-old Shepherd cross, and if there’s one thing you should know about me, it’s that I’m a very good girl with a heart full of love and a playful streak to match!
I absolutely love having zoomies! Give me a secure space to stretch my legs and watch me race around with the biggest smile on my face. Once I’ve burnt off some energy, I’m more than happy to come over for cuddles—I’m a big softy at heart and love spending time with my favourite people.
Now, I do have one little confession… when I’m out on my walks, my nose sometimes takes over! There are just so many exciting smells to investigate that I can become a little “selectively deaf.” The kennel team might be calling my name, but if I’ve found a particularly interesting scent, sniffing usually wins! With a patient owner and some fun, reward-based training, I’m sure my listening skills will keep improving.
When it comes to other dogs, I’m a bit of a mixed bag. Once I’ve had the chance to get to know another dog properly, I’m happy to enjoy walks with my canine friends. However, I’d really prefer to be the only pet in my forever home, so I’m looking for a family with no other dogs or cats.
Dogs I meet unexpectedly while I’m out and about can sometimes make me feel a little overwhelmed, and I might bark to let everyone know how I’m feeling. I don’t mean any harm—I’m just asking for a bit of space! I’ll need a patient family who understands that I may need some guidance and positive, reward-based training to help me feel more relaxed and confident when I see other dogs on my walks.
I’m looking for a loving family who’ll enjoy my playful side, appreciate my gentle nature, and understand that sometimes a girl’s just got to stop and smell the roses… and every bush, lamppost, and blade of grass along the way!
