What is the Edale Skyline Challenge?

This circular route is a favourite among seasoned hikers and first-timers alike—spanning around 20 miles with spectacular scenery, it’s a full-day trek with panoramic views, rolling ridges, and the sense of real achievement at the finish line. Led by experienced guides, this challenge is tough but doable—and so worth it. You’ll join a supportive group of animal-lovers all raising money for a cause close to their hearts.

Every paw-step forward starts with people like you. By taking on the Edale Skyline Challenge, you’re helping cats and dogs who have been abandoned, neglected, or left with nowhere else to turn.

Your fundraising will help us continue providing vital shelter, medical care, and a second chance to the animals that need it most. While you’re out there trekking the peaks, know that every step is helping to give them a brighter future.

What’s involved?

  • Summit Brown Knoll, Mam Tor, Back Tor, Lose Hill and Win Hill.
  • Embark on a 20-mile walk over some of the Peak Districts most beautiful terrain.
  • Climb over 1,100m of total height gain.
  • Discover the beautiful Peak District and the Edale Valley.

Who Can Join the Fun?

  • Minimum Age: 18

  • Fitness Level: A good base level of fitness recommended – You’ll also need to complete a quick BPA Medical Declaration Form.
