Could your dog be a lifesaving blood donor?
We’re so excited to announce that we are to be a host venue for Pet Blood Bank UK on 29th April 2021! Pet Blood Bank is a UK charity that collects blood donations from dogs to save the lives of other dogs in need. Blood is needed for lifesaving work – even throughout COVID – so this service is essential.
We are hosting our first donation session on THURSDAY 29th APRIL 2021 and are now looking to welcome in dogs to come forward as donors to make this possible.
Each unit of blood donated has the potential to help save the lives of up to four other dogs!
In order to become a donor your dog must:-
- Be fit and healthy-
- Be between one and eight years old-
- Weigh more than 25kg-
- Have a good temperament-
- Have never travelled abroad-
- Be fully vaccinated-
- Not be on any medication
If your dog meets the criteria, they could become part of Pet Blood Bank’s lifesaving community.
