Dominic and Summer’s owners recognised that their beloved donkeys needed more support than they were able to provide, and they made the incredibly caring decision to reach out for help.
At RAIN, we understand that circumstances can change and that caring for animals can sometimes become challenging. Asking for support is a responsible and compassionate choice, and we are here to help both animals and the people who love them.
Knowing Dominic and Summer were a special pair, it was important that they could continue their journey together. They had formed a strong bond, and separating them was never an option.
Thanks to their owners’ decision and the support of RAIN, Dominic and Summer now have a safe place where they can enjoy their days together, receiving the care, attention and love they deserve.
Getting to Know Dominic & Summer
Every animal has their own personality, and Dominic and Summer are no different.
Dominic is the confident one of the pair. He loves meeting visitors and is always happy to come over for a gentle stroke, plenty of fuss and, of course, his favourite treats! His friendly nature makes him a firm favourite with everyone who meets him.
Summer is a little more reserved when meeting new people, but once she gets to know you, her sweet and gentle personality shines through. She often looks to Dominic for reassurance and guidance, showing just how special their bond is.
Together, Dominic and Summer make the perfect pair. One brings confidence, the other brings calm, and they continue to support each other every day.
