Meet Nanny, Tom, Dick & Harry
A family who were given the chance to stay together
Nanny and her three sons – Tom, Dick and Harry – are a much-loved family of goats who now call RAIN home. Their story could have ended very differently, but thanks to your support, they have been given a second chance and a safe place to spend the rest of their lives together.
Their Story
When the farm park they had always called home sadly closed its doors, Nanny and her three boys suddenly faced an uncertain future.
For the people who had cared for them, it was a heartbreaking situation. They wanted nothing more than to know this little family would be safe, loved and able to stay together.
Without a new home, there was a very real possibility they could have been sent to market. We dread to think what might have happened if RAIN hadn’t stepped in when we did.
From the very beginning, we knew one thing for certain: this family belonged together. Nanny had spent her life caring for her boys, and after everything they’d been through, separating them simply wasn’t an option.
RAIN was able to offer them a forever home where they could remain as a family. Today, their previous carers have the comfort of knowing Nanny, Tom, Dick and Harry are safe, happy and loved, with fields to graze, cosy shelters to rest in and a dedicated team caring for them every day.
Sometimes rescue isn’t about saving animals from cruelty—it’s about being there when circumstances change and ensuring much-loved animals still have the future they deserve.
A Family That Belongs Together
Nanny’s exact age is unknown, but she has spent her life caring for her three boys. Tom, Dick and Harry are believed to be around two and a half years old, and although they’ve grown up, they’re never far from their mum’s side.
As Old English cross goats, they’re full of personality, curiosity and character. Whether they’re grazing in the fields, exploring their surroundings or relaxing together, it’s clear just how close this little family is.
Nanny is always keeping a watchful eye over her sons, while Tom, Dick and Harry happily spend their days playing, grazing and enjoying the freedom they now have at RAIN. Seeing them together is a heartwarming reminder that every animal deserves the chance to stay with the ones they love.
