Popcorn was just a tiny kitten when he was dumped in a crisp box alongside his brother, Crisp, and their mum, Toffee.
They arrived riddled with fleas, but Popcorn was the most poorly of them all. The fleas had left him anaemic, he was incredibly thin and, at just 310g, he was around half the weight he should have been. His brother Crisp weighed 650g.
Popcorn was so weak that he couldn’t even lift his own head.
He was withdrawn and barely eating, so our team gave him extra milk supplements and did everything they could to keep his tiny body going. They gave him warmth, care and comfort, willing him to pull through.
But sadly, we had to say goodbye.
Little Popcorn didn't make it.
His mum, Toffee, and brother, Crisp, are still with us. They too were riddled with fleas, but are in better condition than Popcorn, and we will do everything we can to keep them safe and help them recover.
We wish Popcorn had been given that chance too.
